A few words about me: At the outset I may say that I have nothing to boast except in Jesus Christ, as Apostle Paul said. All what I am now is by His grace, not by merits or eligibilty. But, again to borrow from St. Paul, "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me". I believe that "all things work together for good to them that love the Lord". As my father and my role model, a selfless servant of the Lord often used to remind us, I believe we "are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people" that we "may proclaim the praises of Him who called" us "out of darkness in to His marvellous light" (1Peter 2: 9)
I retired as a senior executive from a public sector bank. While in the bank's service I was a regular Guest Faculty in the bank's staff training institutes and a few other organisations like the Fertilizer Association of India. I have had the occasion to speak to the undergraduate and post-graduate students of a few colleges in Kerala about the modern trends in banking, globalisation & liberalisation, new economic policy etc. After retirement I joined the faculty of Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Loyola College, Chennai (Madras) and worked for a few years as a faculty in management for the Executive MBA programme..
Before joining the bank I served the Government of Kerala as a gazetted officer and had the privilege to undergo advanced training in developement administration along with IAS officers in the National Institute of Community Development, Hyderabad, apart from several trainings in different aspects of administration. It was a pleasure to receive Good Service Entries almost every year from the District Collectors during my work in Kerala as BDO. I could also play a pivotal role in the Green Revolution of 1960's in Thrissur District while working as BDO, as the maximum area of the high yielding varieties of rice, Tainan-3, was introduced and cultivated in my Cherpu Block Area. The then Agriculture Secretary to the Govt. of India, Dr. B. Sivaraman, was kind enough to visit my office and congratulate me. A few Kerala Misnisters who visited the fields and participated in the Harvest Festival of the high yielding "wonder crop" recorded their deep appreciation of the work of my team of officers and field staff.
My interests are mainly reading, writing, music, preaching and visiting the aged and the lonely, the poor and the needt, the marginalised and the oppressed along with my wife. We visit the people who are unable to move out of their houses due to old age or the indifference of their children. We sit with them and share with them their woes, give a listening, take some goodies they like, sing and pray with them. This gives a lot of satisfaction in our sunset years. We also take active interest in church matters and lead the prayer meetings apart from my giving messages in the church, prayer meetings etc. We derive immense satisfaction when we are able to serve the needy.
In all my activities my beloved wife Lilly is my friend, philosopher and guide from 29 th of December 1966. She is blessed with the sterling qualities of a wife mentioned in Proverbs 31:10-31. She is a good singer and takes interest to pray in all prayer meetings. She has contributed to the growth and development of my Christian life in no small measure.
Once in two years we visit our children and grandchildren in the USA, once in a year Dubai, spend time with them join them in worshipping and thanking the Lord for the inestimable benefits we have received and are still receiving as a family.
My educational qualifications are a Master's Degree of the University of Madras, B.Sc. from University of Travancore, Intermediate from University of Madras, and a few diplomas, apart from many advanced trainings in banking, management, administration, agricultural extension etc including trainers' training of the Government of India, the Reserve Bank of India and U.P.Agricultural University, Pant Nagar, U.P.
